The Issue

My boyfriend borrowed $150 for his car three weeks ago. About a week after he borrowed the money, he took me out on a nice date for seafood (my fav!). I asked him for the money yesterday and he said he didn't owe me b/c of the dinner. What?!?!

Maybe this one offense is enough to break up over. Yet, if you have invested a lot of time into the relationship already you may want to consider that he needs to learn how to communicate and avoid assumptions. Some people really see that as fair as crazy as that may seem. If you can love someone whose reasoning at times seems crazy then all you have to do is make sure decisions like this are discussed ahead of time. The rule: If there is an assumption made share it with one another before acting on it. If he can't see the importance of this he has an inability to reason. You may want to cut your loses.

Don't break up. Next time you have sex, give him a bill for $75 dollars. See if he's down paying for something that up until now has just been part of the relationship, like, say, going out on a date and having dinner. If he refuses to pay, tell him you want your $150 from the car loan. If he still refuses to pay, kick him in the balls. He'll be naked from just having had sex, and it'll hurt more.

Don't give him any money again. I was engagaged with someone and he called it off the wedding because i would NOT allow him to control me. He always wanted money from me. I feel so horrible for allowing him to take advantage of me. If I would have seen this a long time ago, I would have never gotten envolved with him usury man. Please becareful because he could be out to use you for EVERYTHING!
